Who we are
Tested in Australia. Developed for the World.
We are creators. Not just the product we make, but the life we lead. We are for the early morning risers and the golden hour cruisers. For the ocean dwellers, the vagabond travellers, and the outdoor wanderers. Through our fabrics, fit and function, when you find yourself wondrous in pursuit, you are Follow, just as we are.
Founded in 2010 by Steven Anderson
Follow began in 2010 when Steven Anderson launched a small line of tow handles and accessories from Australia's Gold Coast. The rules from day one were simple: "no gimmicks, no bright lights, just good quality product that works." Sixteen years later, those rules still shape every product we ship — from impact vests to wetsuits, helmets to handles, apparel to travel bags.
We've grown from a handle company into a complete water-sports and outdoor brand, but the founding philosophy hasn't moved. From materials, to function and finish, we take no shortcuts. We build the products we and our friends want to wear, undistracted by fads.
How Follow gets made
Every Follow product is designed and tested on the Gold Coast in Australia — behind the boat, at the cable park, in the surf and on the water that shaped the brand. Production-ready samples are tested on-body, in the water, before they ever go into manufacturing. We work with the same neoprene and material suppliers used by the world's leading surf and wake brands, including Yamamoto-grade eco-neoprene for wetsuits and our proprietary Featherweight Foam Dual-Layer construction for impact vests.
Team Follow
The Follow team is the real testing ground. We back wakeboard, wake surf, foil and adventure athletes including Pedro Caldas, Sam Brown, Cassidy Gale, Joey Battleday, Alex Hayes, Anna Nikstad, Trent Stuckey, Jamie Huser and Josh Twelker. Their feedback flows directly back into every product cycle. Meet the team.
Project One — sustainability built in
Through our Project One initiative, Follow uses recycled neoprene, low-impact textiles and sustainable finishes across the product range. The Project One Impact Vests are made with recycled chevron polyester (around 80 ocean-recovered plastic bottles per vest in the outer layer fabric). Sustainability isn't a marketing line — it's a four-year R&D programme that ships in every season.
