Impact Vest Construction
Follow impact vests are built around a Featherweight Foam Dual-Layer construction — softer outer foam for impact absorption, denser inner foam for buoyancy. Combined with ergonomic panelling and the Truefit Liner system, each vest is tuned for the specific demands of wakeboarding, wake surf and foil.
Every Follow impact vest is tested on-body, in the water, before it ever enters production.
Frequently asked questions
What is Featherweight Foam dual-layer construction?
Follow's Featherweight Foam Dual-Layer is a two-density foam build: a softer outer layer that flexes with body movement and a denser inner layer that provides the 50N buoyancy required for tow-sports. The combination gives impact protection without the bulk of single-density foams.
What's the Truefit Liner?
The Truefit Liner is Follow's interchangeable interior pad system that lets you fine-tune the vest fit once you have the right shell size. Used across Follow's premium impact vests, the liner adapts the fit to different torso shapes and lengths.
How are Follow impact vests tested?
Every Follow impact vest design is tested on-body, in the water, before production. EU-shipped vests are also independently tested for CE compliance to EN ISO 12402-5 (50N). Production samples are batch-tested for foam density, seam strength and buoyancy.
Are Follow impact vests good for foiling and wake surf?
Yes. The Featherweight Foam construction is light enough for foil without sacrificing protection. For wake surf, the Corset and Tailored Duo fits give the freedom of shoulder movement that surfers need. Every Follow impact vest is engineered for the full range of tow-sports.
